
A Girl Scout's Family's Responsibilities |
Contribute to Indiana Lakeland Girl Scout Council’s Family Partnership Program to support the work of the council. (Donate here).
Support and Encourage your daughter’s effort to follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law in her daily life.
Honor troop leaders’ time by making certain your daughter arrives and is picked up at Girl Scout functions and meetings on time.
Support the troop leaders by asking how you can help… keep records, make phone calls, assist with meetings, etc.
Provide updated information to the troop leaders, including change of address and/or phone numbers, emergency contact information, etc.
Remain updated about troop activities by reading newsletters, permission slips or by calling the troop leaders if necessary.
Turn in forms on time: registrations, permission slips, etc.
Attend ceremonies, celebrations and special events whenever possible.
Volunteer to help carry out a troop meeting, with a service project, plan a ceremony, share a skill, arrange for a troop to tour your workplace, chaperone a troop outing, etc.
Support council-sponsored Product Sales Program activities that your daughter participates in by agreeing not to take orders before the sale starts, returning all forms on their due date, picking up products when specified, delivering them promptly and turning in money on time.
Say ‘Thank-You’ throughout the year to the troop leaders and other volunteers who help the troop by giving of their time , talents and commitment to the girls in your community.
